Welcome to Friends of the Animal Kingdom, Inc.
Our motto and mission is simple: Pay it Forward.
Animals and birds are part of our family and world. They deserve to be well cared for, protected, loved, cherished, free from harm, neglect, exploitation and abuse.
Winter is a busy season, and thanks to our wonderful contributors and donors, we are able to keep the food bowls full. Living in a tough economy is making it very hard for families and their pets. Our mission at Friends of the Animal Kingdom continues and with your help, we can reach our goals.
Pet nutrition is vital to our fur children as well as their pet parents. Feeding your pet or pets quality, organic, holistic food is the start of the best health you can give your beloved fur children. There are many freeze dried holistic foods along with frozen organic foods. If your pet has chronic health problems such as kidney, thyroid, joint, digestive or skin problems, please contact us. We know of a wonderful pet food supplier located in the Chicago Metro Area that carries some of the best holistic food.
It is a proven fact that owning a companion animal (or as we affectionately refer to them as "fur children") can improve a person's overall health (mentally and physically), including their overall quality of life. This is so true for older adults and people that live alone.
When thinking about adding a new fur child to your family, please adopt from an animal shelter or rescue group. They have that special kitten, cat, puppy or dog waiting to meet you. OUR FAVORITE BREED IS CALLED RESCUED.
Fur Children That Received Pet Food Assistance

Anya, the beloved fur child of her Daddy, Chris
I'd like for you to meet Anya. She is a 20 week old puppy (2009) and Friends of the Animal Kingdom provided pet food assistance.

I'd like for you to meet Chloe. She is a 3 month old kitten that was displaced because of a fire in her family's condo building. Her family lost just about everything to smoke and water damage. However, Friends of the Animal Kingdom was happy to lend emergency assistance which included kitten food, supplies and a pet quilt from Peeper Day Designs. Chloe's proud Mommy took this picture of her while she was sitting by the window, enjoying a lovely Spring Day (2010) in the Chicago Metro Area.
